I loved this book! It is not your typical mystery and will definitely be different from your expectations. It exceeds the usual mystery story by offering all sorts of surprises and genuinely kept me in suspense until the end and the ending was surprising as well. The well developed and distinctive characters carry you into a different world . Different motifs, drawn from mythology, theatre and film elevate the book and have you searching for connections. I highly recommend this book and eagerly look forward to the author’s next book.

A really nice read!! Loved the reference to classic movies and 60's pop culture. Some of the characters were like people I grew up with. Highly recommend!!

What a great book! I found myself pulled in quickly and did not want to put the book down. The characters are diverse and interesting and the plot leaves you saying "just one more page." I can't wait for the next. There are very few times you read a book from a perspective that you don't expect and find that you not only enjoyed it but you are looking forward to what comes next. Love it!!!

Death by Chaos is a great read. It has all of the mystery and intrigue of a Columbo story, with the excitement of an outlaw biker film. The characters draw you in. As I was reading, I seemed to feel connected to the characters who populate the story line. This is a book that you will read in one or two sittings, as you will find it hard to put down. It's that cool! Renaii West is an author who we should hear more from. I know there are many more stories she has to tell. In the meantime, I will visit this book again....and again.

ILoveUniqueBooks Review 4/5 stars

Four distinguished but very different young women arrived college as freshmen only to discover they were going to share a small room. One was exceptionally brilliant, another was a beauty queen, then a dope smoking troublemaker and lastly a sex symbol—a perfect combination of strange bedfellows.

A murder in campus and subsequent frame-up would lead to intrigues and a long drawn investigation, with far reaching consequences on the four goddesses of Room 407.

Major characters in the book include Kip Morgan, Miranda Taylor, Elizabeth Adams, Dawn Wolfe, Dr. Luther, Detective Degas, John Morgan etc.

Death by Chaos is an interesting book that captured the lifestyles and activities many college students often get involved in. This is a book most teenagers will love to read.

5  Review Book Commentary

Mystery, murder, and relentless drama in the campus setting are among the strong elements that elevate the entertainment in Death by Chaos by Renaii West. The narrative features four beautiful, intelligent, and gifted girls who decide to become the goddesses of the liberal arts college in Southern California — Tasha, Elizabeth, Dawn, and Miranda. They seem to enjoy everything about the life they are reinventing for themselves, even having a crush on the same guy. But everything changes when a student is murdered on campus as graduation is set to take place. It gets even more complicated when one of them goes missing. The case goes cold and two decades after, their reunion is about to happen, and one of them is determined to revisit the past and unveil the secrets of that night. But this isn’t going to be as easy as a walk in the park, for complications come along in the form of a stranger on a motorcycle.

Renaii West creates an alluring image of campus life, allowing readers vivid images of what it feels like to be in a liberal arts school. The beautiful writing, punctuated by sparkling dialogues, the clever plotting, and the rich characterization make this tale a winner for those looking for fully drawn characters and an immersive reading experience. It is a suspenseful story with conflict that is deftly written, and the author writes characters that readers can relate to, creating scenes that are focused and vividly drawn, and intelligently weaving twists that readers won’t see coming. Death by Chaos is a supremely accomplished novel, marvelously crafted, and rich in detail. The author infuses the writing with humor and the unforgettable characters will stay in the reader’s memories long after the last page is turned.
